Many students are unfamiliar with how to use the resources found in their school media center. I would like the students at my school to learn necessary information and research skills while having fun. I teach information skills and technology to pre-kindergarten through fifth grade students. I would like to use various games such as Sticks and Stones (a game of alphabetical order), The Book Hunt (a library scavenger hunt), What's the Word (library vocabulary), and Dewey Match (Dewey Decimal Memory Game). I could use these games with second through fifth grade. Approximately 400 students would be using them. By playing games in the media center, I can review important skills and keep the students more engaged. I want my media center to be a place where students want to come and learn.
