My Students

As a librarian I have the luxury of knowing every student from Kindergarten through Fifth grade. My students are at the beginning of their career as lifelong learners and they are very eager to learn! Many come to school with a smile on their face even though they may be facing tough times at home.

The school library is a place where they can get away, try something new, and learn about any topic they wish.

My students love options and the ability to control their learning.

My Project

These materials will make a difference because students will be able to sit in more comfortable positions in the library. Sometimes students get wiggly and need to stretch out. Flexible seating provides choices to students on where and how they can sit.

When students feel comfortable in the school they are more likely to participate and learn more information.

I need bean bag chairs and floor cushions to make the library a more inviting place for all of my students to foster their love of reading. I want my students to find a cozy corner in the library that will let their imagination fly.
