This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Learning to read is a crucial skill for all students, including those with special needs. Reading will allow them to express themselves and communicate with others effectively. For special needs students who may face challenges in verbal communication, literacy skills provide an alternative means to express thoughts, feelings, and ideas.

Special needs students can benefit from the cognitive stimulation and intellectual growth that come with engaging with books.

I aim to create a dedicated space in our classroom that inspires students to open books and delve into the enchanting world of reading. This space will have a new classroom rug, bookcases and books. My goal is to ensure they feel at ease and discover the pleasures of immersing themselves in the joy of reading.
