Library Book Subscription Box

Help me give my students who have a passion for reading a personalized curated reading experience with these book subscription boxes! My goal is to keep students interested in reading to ensure they will be life long learners!

My Project

I am a librarian at the number 2 ranked elementary school in the state of GA. We are a title 1 magnet school with a small staff. Students at Wadsworth Magnet School are conscientious, happy-go-lucky and love to read. Because of academics and scheduling, they often don't have as much time to visit the library as they would like. Most students qualify for free or reduced lunch, so purchasing books to read is often not an option. To keep their interest in reading, I would like to develop a subscription program within the library for students to receive books curated for them based on an interest survey they complete.

Along with the book, they would receive a book review card to fill out, a bookmark, and a sticker.

With this service, students who need a book to read will have a book specially selected for them to read. This service will also expose students to books they may not have chosen for themselves, enticing any reluctant readers to subscribe and read. Students will return the book and the box to the library to receive their next subscription.

The funds for this project will be used to purchase the subscription box, bookmarks and stickers.
