Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our classroom is a place where students walk in ready and excited to learn. They call themselves "Rockstars" and give everything they can to learn something new every single day! They are a tight knit community where they strive to help each other learn every single day.
Our class comes from a variety of economic backgrounds with 97% of our students receiving free or reduced lunch.
Despite many hardships, our students continue to overcome and grow in their education. They have so many goals they hope to achieve and I'm excited to be part of their journey.
My Project
My students need book bins and organization tools to be organized in class. With flexible seating, students do not have desks to put their materials in. They need a place to put their clipboards, books, and other materials they use throughout the day.
These tools will help them stay organized and ultimately lead them to success throughout the day and every day in first grade.
By having these tools, students will be able to practice their organization skills and have a place to put their materials that they can call theirs. This will also keep our library books safe and keep last of many years to come!
