This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach first-grade in a rural community. My students are inquisitive, creative, and enthusiastic about learning. They are caring and think of themselves as family. They support and challenge each other daily.
In my classroom, students are developing the skill of reading, and students learn this skill in a variety of ways.
My students are very energetic and always eager to learn. My students are question marks in a world of periods and I want to instill in them to remain question marks!
My Project
These books will enhance our classroom with print that I strive to give them as a 2nd year teacher. My students are always on the hunt for books in my classroom that they can read independently. The enjoy a variety of genres and this leveled library gives them the joy of options.
With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level.
To increase reading ability, you must read often. This books will give my students that opportunity. My students enjoy reading and are excited for more books to enjoy.
