My Students
We are a group of fun 5 & 6 year old is a small rural community. Our community is a close knit community and offers so many wonderful opportunities for students growing up, but one thing we are lacking is funding.
My students have great imaginations and love learning through play. We have big personalities, and a lot of energy. These students come from different social and economic backgrounds, and each offer something unique to our classroom. Our hope is to add resources to our classroom that will help us grow.
My Project
I am asking for sixteen different leveled reading material sets to add to our classroom library. We have a variety of picture books in our classroom, but only a handful that my Kindergarten students can actually work up to reading. We call these reading materials the students work up to reading, “good fit” books.
One of my main goals for my students is to instill in them a want and love for reading that will last them a lifetime. I believe that with these books they are able to read at their level, my goal for them to love reading will be reached.
