Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Currently, we are all going through these hard times by distance learning. My students are low-income students who do not have many resources to learn effectively from home. During this pandemic, I want to provide my students with the most support I can while also getting ahead for next year academically and mentally.

The resources I currently have for my students is a whiteboard received in a previous donor's choose project, chart paper, and linking cubes.

My Project

Next year our students will be behind in all subjects due to the pandemic if they do not have the resources available to them at home. The district and all teachers are trying to accommodate as best as possible. My upcoming students will benefit most from these books with the fact that these are for them.

To fully be prepared for my student's next upcoming school year I need to have leveled books to equate to their reading levels.

As time progresses they will be able to move up in the leveled books. These materials will help students continue learning through school closures and other scheduling uncertainties related to coronavirus.
