Being creative means taking risks and ignoring doubt and facing fears. My students are incredibly important to me and they are so original in lots of ways that allow me to enjoy their company each and every day. Many of my students have not yet developed socially acceptable filters so they are amazingly candid and honest.
My students are always searching for inspiration in even the most mundane places.
I always say, "Being creative means you're thinking!" My students love to complete intricate puzzles, build with LEGOs, and create things. The difficulty is that most of my students are able to think of original ideas, but they haven’t spent enough time with any material to learn how to make the things they see in their minds.
My Project
Children quickly fall in love with the characters they encounter in Rigby leveled texts, and look forward to reading more about them! I am requesting Rigby Favorite Characters Collection Set 1 books to deepen their love of characters and books in general.
These books will be able to provide young readers with good guided reading texts starring their favorite Rigby characters.
Motivating, enjoyable and perfect for guided reading, these carefully developed collections will certainly enhance my reading program.
These books give loads of exposure to sight words that are repeated over and over as well as providing picture support to help with decoding and comprehension.
Seeing the smiles on the faces of my first graders as they realize that they are reading is priceless!
