Ms. Kalinowski from Buffalo NY is requesting Books through DonorsChoose, the #1 classroom funding site for teachers.

Leveled Books for 2nd Graders

My students need a variety of leveled books for independent reading time.

Hooray! This project is fully funded

My Students

I have a very diverse group of students in my class. There are special education students and English Language Learners, as well as general education students in our room. My students are energetic, caring, and very ambitious. They work hard every day and come to school ready to learn. They always have a positive attitude about learning and can't wait to learn new things.

My students deserve high-interest, non-fiction books to read independently!

I want to inspire my students to learn all that they can and be the best they can be. These books will help them to read, and learn new things!

As an early childhood school, we work hard to make sure our students are successful learners today and in the future.

My Project

My students need different sets of leveled books to use independently in our classroom library center. With these books, my students will be able to pick a book they want to read, and actually read it, since it is at their current level.

It is important for my students to be able to read books that are at their level and currently, we do not have any set of books in our classroom suitable for independent practice.

Children love books. This set would be a great addition to our classroom, and help instill a love of reading in my students for years to come. Thank you for considering donating towards this project.
