Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

In this project, students will have the opportunity to manipulate materials used for literacy and mathematics. These activities will continue to enhance our young learners' knowledge as we move from pre-K, Kindergarten level materials to 1st-grade attempts. Students will be learning how to quantify numbers and use them to create number sentences and solve problems. Students are also beginning to learn more sight words. These sight words aid in sentence building, reading, and vocabulary.

My students have been working tremendously hard given the untraditional circumstances faced this year.

With these materials, I know my students will be well beyond ready for first grade next year!
