This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I work with students ages 6 and 7, who all have special needs. Most come from broken homes, low-income homes, and live in poverty. Even though they have a not so great home life, they all love school.
While they face many challenges and obstacles in life; they are all so willing and eager to learn.
They love school and learning, and I love watching them learn new things for the first time. However, it is hard to provide them with the best opportunities they deserve due to budget cuts.
My Project
My students love hands-on learning and these materials would be the perfect alphabet practice during our center time. Our centers are a great time to practice alphabet skills and these resources will help each of my students practice and learn.
We are excited to learn to read and these great ABC tactile cards and sight word game will help our early literacy skills develop!
My special need students are learning to identify letters and sight words. These materials will allow them to learn them in a fun sensory friendly way. Centers are a great time for teamwork and these materials will help us cooperate and learn together.
