Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every morning we start off our day with a welcome song which students are excited to sing and greet each other. We then transition into writing our morning message which students are active participants. My goal for my students is to exposed them to as many letters and sounds as possible.

My group of 30 plus preschoolers are very energetic and their ages range between 3-5.

This group of preschoolers are very curious and eager to learn. For most of my students this is their first experience in a school setting which makes it crucial that they love learning and love coming to school. This also means that they get very easily bored of the same thing and therefore need new material to explore.

My Project

I believe that by having different literacy material that can help promote alphabet recognition will help encourage students to learn their letters. Students will be able to use these materials; giant tracing letters, learn to print magnet boards, magnetic alphabet maze, letter alphabet board, in a center where they can practice identifying letters. Students will learn the shape of letters and how they look; how to form letters and most importantly students will be able to identify letters.

The donations to this project will improve my classroom by giving new material to use and explore.

Having new material that promote letters students will be excited to use and will want to go and work. Students will be engaged in learning the letters of their name as well as other letters of the alphabet. Your donations to this project will help to build the foundation of literacy in the lives of these children.
