I teach inclusive half-day preschool & pre-k classes at an Early Childhood Center. Students are ages 3-5. The class is designed to support all students with a variety of needs. Inclusive classrooms benefit all students by fostering an environment that values all individuals and teachers students to do the same. My students are eager, excited little learners. They love hands on learning and being able to use their creativity. Many students attend our center for 2-3 years. This provides a strong sense of community where teachers know all of the children and families. We see most parents several times a week for drop-off and pick-up.
My Project
In preschool, we spend lots of time building up our vocabulary and learning letter names and sounds. Pictures and Smartboard resources are great when learning and practicing these skills, but nothing compares to hands on learning! All of these activities and games provide hands on mini manipulative's that help bring learning to life! The A-Z letter tubs come with manipulative's that begin with each letter to practice beginning sounds! The language games allow for category sorting, pairing items together and comparing items. All of the manipulative's in the activities can be used to help expand vocabulary and for beginning literacy use.
