Help me give my students My Letters Alive Kindergarten Journals to help them practice and master language arts skills while they are distance learning at home.
The current pandemic has been very hard for my students. We are a rural school district in which the majority of students do not have access to any internet services. The students took home a packet of worksheets to use in place of classroom teaching to finish the school year. I have used Zoom to try to keep students engaged in learning. Unfortunately the majority of my students are unable to participate in online instruction due to the lack of reliable internet services.
My students need Letters Alive Kindergarten Journals to be able to continue their educational journey using the characters and organizational layout that they have used with the computer version of Letters Alive in the classroom.
These journals build on the activities we did in class before the pandemic stuck.
My Project
Through the generosity of donors my classroom was able to get the Letters Alive Language Arts Software program to help learn the letters and sounds of the alphabet. We use this program every day in class. Now that school has been thrown into distance learning as a result of the current health crisis adaptations must be made in how the students are reached.
Letters Alive Kindergarten Journals are an extension of the lessons that students have completed in the classroom.
These journals are aligned to the lessons that were taught using the Letters Alive computer program.
Students will be able to practice what they have learned in a way that is consistent with what they have already been doing in the classroom.
