Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Pre-K class is made up of 20 students from different backgrounds and levels. Most have limited access to technology at home. In addition, most students are learning English as a second language.
My students come to school each day with smiling faces and ready to learn!
These four- and five-year-old students are vibrant, inquisitive, and curious learners. They are open to talking and learning about anything and everything. I love to see how they learn and watch as they make new discoveries.
My Project
My little ones come to school eager to learn. They love to explore and create, and I like to provide them with choices to spark interest and engagement.
Every child learns in their own special way.
I want to provide them with different resources to explore concepts. The different sets of magnetic letters attract different children, whether it is because they are their favorite color or they like to have them organized and sorted in a box. Other children are not satisfied with just looking for letters. They are doers; they like to make things and the stamps will give them a chance to make their creations their own by having a choice of colors and letter styles. I am eager to see the type of authentic work they will create!
