This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
This year I teach a wonderful and sweet group of second graders at a low income, Title I school. Most of my students are below proficient in Reading and Math and have a variety of learning needs that require differentiation and engaging activities. It is my job to meet all of their individual needs.
I want to see all of my students engaged and enthusiastic about learning and I think I have a great idea that will motivate my students to do so.
My goal is for all of my students to succeed this year in second grade. They all deserve the best chance of meeting their individual goals as well.
My Project
My students absolutely love writing with Expo markers! Recently, I started letting students write on small draw erase boards during small group instruction, and they love it! The only issue is that the white boards take up so much space.
By providing students with an alternative way to write and learn it opens a new world of possibilities.
I currently have flexible seating for my students to use during small groups, but would love to have my own chair so that I can "model" how they need to sit in theirs.
Please help me provide my students with this awesome table that I know will be put to good use every single day!
