Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a diverse group of third grade students from a small farming community in northern California. We do not allow our financial backgrounds or differences to hold us back from achieving our goals.
Our public school has a large number of free or reduced-priced lunch students.
Many students are not able to bring much needed supplies from home in order to be successful in school. We enjoy reading, writing, doing math, as well as learning about science, history, and technology.
My Project
My students need sheet protectors and file folders in our classroom. The sheet protectors and file folders are used for various things. We make dry erase boards with them to use in class. Students can write their answers down and share them with others and with myself to check for understanding. The sheet protectors are also used in class for our binders. Papers that are to be viewed nightly, such as monthly homework tasks and reading logs, are slid into the sheet protectors. File folders are also used in the students desks to hold writing assignments and unfinished work.
Providing these items for my students, helps them to become organized and helps them stay on task.
By using these items, students will be able to keep track of their work that is unfinished.
