Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is made up of a diverse community. Students here come from many different places from within and out of the United States. They all have had unique life experiences. For many of my students this is their first school experience. Kindergarten students are awesome and active learners. They are so eager to learn new things and experience new lessons.
My young learners come in each morning excited and eager to learn, explore, create, and have fun.
Because of their enthusiasm, I try to provide as many memorable learning experiences as I can. I have found with my young learners that more learning takes place when they are excited and engaged in the lessons. I want to foster a love of learning in my class by providing materials that engage their minds.
My Project
My students are asking for new dry erase boards to replace our current ones. The class set we have now are so old that the writing lines are almost invisible. The lines are needed to help teach proper letter size and formation. Using dry erase boards allows my students to erase mistakes and try again when we are practicing. The blank side is perfect for math as well as creating masterpieces. These boards will be used during small group, whole class, centers, and during independent work time.
Please help me provide my students with dry erase boards, markers, and erasers to practice important writing skills.
Your generosity will allow my students to work on important writing skills to complete their daily work and save paper. They can write and erase as many times as needed. These boards allow me to quickly determine which students have grasped a concept and which students still need additional practice.
