Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

These Fifth graders attend an elementary school where 100% of the students' population receives free breakfast and lunch. The majority of parents work in the fields. It's important that they are able to receive essential resources to help us learn during distance learning.

My Project

Welcoming a new class of fifth graders is filled with so many emotions. This year in particular will be full of challenges, as we start the school year with distant learning. Distant learning is difficult enough for each student and on top of that starting off their fifth year of school online will add to the challenge.

My new class of 31 students will need basic school supplies to complete activities that will help them practice essential concepts and skills at home.

My hope is that whiteboards and pens will help students easily access needed materials and help their equitable learning.
