My Students

The students in my 4th grade classroom live in a diverse, low socioeconomic community and thrive on hands-on learning. Our students learn best through personalized learning.

Providing items for our student's basic needs are ways we can bond with our students to help them realize we care, and they can share their needs with us as teachers.

My goal as a teacher is to help my students experience what they learn by visiting and seeing their learning in real world experiences!

Our students are so excited to go to a city they have not been before or may not every get to visit outside of school. This city has state officials they have learned about in class.

My Project

Some of our students may not have a new blanket to provide warmth and comfort, so I, along with your help, would like to provide that for them. With our low socioeconomic status, some of our students need their basic needs filled in order to be able to share with their teachers or even learn.

By providing a fleece throw blanket for my students to wrap up, have comfort, be warm, they can have comfort while they read a book.

The students will enjoy wrapping up at school, then take their blanket home over winter break to know they are cared for and have warmth and comfort at home as well as at school.
