Help me give my students flexible seating options which will allow them a choice of where they want to sit, improve focus and be comfortable while learning.
Kindergarten is such an exciting place! It is a group of mixed interests, abilities, and goals. My students come from very different backgrounds. A lot of my students have difficulty sitting still and focusing during our lessons and I want to be able to give them the option to choose where they would like to sit.
Flexible seating will allow students to take control of their own learning.
Kindergartners need to get their wiggles out, and having the opportunity to move allows greater focus and learning. I want my students learn in a positive environment that allows them to work however it best suits their needs.
My Project
Flexible seating allows students to choose where and how they learn. By allowing students the freedom to choose where they sit and the type of seating that best suits their needs, it allows them to begin to learn responsibility and the opportunity to take ownership of their learning experience.
Students get excited when they have a choice and are given the opportunity to make decisions.
The products that I have chosen will help my students by giving them seating options other than the traditional table and chair. The ball chairs and wobble chairs will allow students to wiggle and move while working. The soft seats and cushions will allow students to choose any spot in the room and make it more comfortable. I know that providing a variety of seating options will help my students learn and grow now and in the future.
