Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students range from grades K-2 in a cluster program for diverse learners. Many of my students are students with autism or developmental delay. Students in my classroom have a wide range of abilities and are from many different areas in Chicago. In our classroom, we focus on using our strengths to learn and building a positive community.
My goal for my students to build their confidence in knowing that they can learn anything-- and have fun in doing so!
Daily tasks that others may take for granted may be extremely difficult for my students. I plan to create learning that is bright and positive, so that they can continue striving past their obstacles!
My Project
On my school floor, six classrooms share one printer in the hallway. Unfortunately, this printer does not always have toner or is out of service. I would love to have access to this resource to print worksheets for my student and important documents quickly.
To be an effective teacher, I need a printer that is reliable.
My students deserve a teacher who is prepared with resources to help them continue reaching their learning goals.
I would love to provide and utilize several resources that would engage my students daily but, many of these resources have to be printed. Having a working printer in my classroom would truly benefit and elevate the learning in my classroom.
