My Project
The majority of our school population has economic hardships. Many of our students come from families who move around a lot, such as migrant workers, military families, etc.
Feeling as though they are part of something is as essential to these students as it is to the Coaches to give this to them. Our school's track and field team provides these students a place where a feeling of unity and teamwork is cultivated, as well as giving them the opportunity to support one another and build lasting memories and relationships as a team.
The materials donated will help us to provide the students access to practice equipment that can also be used to take home and practice with, such as a discus. This also gives our team more equipment to utilize during practice.
