This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Ever want to curl up an read a good book? Many of my students do!

My students are hardworking first graders, who live in and attend an urban school district in CT.

Many of my students are not encouraged to read at home. It is imperative to facilitate the enjoyment of reading at a young age. We need a comfy area in our room to enjoy a good book!

My Project

The carpet will be used in our classroom library. I want my students to enjoy reading. This area in our classroom will support and encourage the enjoyment of reading. I want them to want to curl up to a great book and we need a special place in our room to make this happen!

The donations to this project will provide my students with a great opportunity to practice their reading skills in comfort.

My goal is to encourage reading in another way. Reading should be fun! Lets help make the magic happen and provide them with this great reading space. Thank you for your support!
