The thought of school supply lists sometimes scares parents. As a middle school teacher, I see the smiles fade on parents' faces when they collect 6 different lists from teachers at registration. This year, I want to alleviate some of the burden.
The school that I teach in is in the heart of a very small, rural community.
We have the highest unemployment rate of our state, and most of my students live in poverty. However, they love to learn, and most actually love coming to school! There is nothing more heartwarming than to see children genuinely happy about being in the classroom!
My Project
The project I am requesting is for glue sticks, glue, staples, and tape. That may seem like a strange request, but we go through these materials quickly. Many times, when we run out, parents cannot afford to go buy more. With this project, I will no longer have to ask parents to supply these materials.
I want the best for my students.
I want them to have every opportunity possible. With your help, financial burdens can be lifted from parents, and the focus can be solely on learning.
