My students come in every morning eager to learn. Most of them in Section 8 (low income) housing apartments. Most of them are either in foster care or being raised by a single parent (the other is incarcerated), or grandparents. But these children are enthusiastic and ready to learn.
The children love to learn at the different centers and use the different learning tools at each one.
We try to employ as much modern technology as we can at the centers.
We are located Oklahoma City, but we are part of the Moore School District. We are a Title 1 school. We have an all day Kindergarten to try to bridge the gaps in both learning and social skills. Some of these children need to be taught how to get along with other children that are not part of their family. I love my job and my kids and I think it is the best in the entore school district!!
My Project
Students will be able to use all the I-Pads everyday. We will not have to let one or two charge while the others are being used. Also, we can be listening to books and still working on our I-pads.
Being able to have all i-pads in use and students still able to have a reading center will increase their center usage tremendously.
Students being able to complete their Lexia minutes weekly and yet get to hear a story read to them everyday. It is important for Kindergarten children to be read to daily. this will increase their vocabulary and fluency beyond measure. Students will get individualized help daily.
