We are a class of six high school students who fall in the severe/profound range of an Intellectual Disability. We have challenges such as autism, speech impairments, and numerous medical conditions. However, we strive to overcome these challenges and live life to the fullest EVERY DAY. Our class goal is to constantly stay positive no matter what life throws at us- and we achieve that goal every year! Along with six amazing students, our class consists of one main teacher and two paraprofessionals. We are the definition of team!
My Project
Summer has flown by and we are ready to get started in the new school year. We have many challenges staying focused in our class. We are requesting several items to help with our sensory, fine motor, communication, and emotional challenges.
In this class, we would like to set up an environment where we can thrive.
These items will help us do just that!
Items such as the exercise ball will help students get their wiggles out while being able to focus on instruction. Also, items such as the weighted blanket will help our friends who get over stimulated by noise calm down.
We are so ready for the 2019-20 school year and thank you so much!
