My Students

Our school’s students have a wonderful curiosity that makes my job as the science teacher such a wonderful experience. With so many classes and only me to teach science, I need to find creative ways to bring engaging and instructional online science resources to all our teachers. Finding cultural bridges between science and the arts allows me to better differentiate my instruction and lessons for all my students.

Our Title I elementary school has a diverse population of students who all qualify for free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch.

My science classes are comprised of general education, English language learners, and special education students from many different cultures, all with a variety of learning styles. They are exciting to watch in action and all love to try and discover. So many times I'm overwhelmed by their competence and determination to learn and achieve.

My Project

My science students are always curious and ready to explore and soar into their learning. I am committed to providing them as many different ways I can to meet their individual abilities and needs. Having a mix of children, including English Language Learners and Special Needs, means technology. Technology is a powerful teaching tool because it let's me create visual and customized lessons for individual students and small groups.

I'm requesting an Apple iPad tablet and case which will be used throughout my science classes for research, projects, and homework.

We'll use Google Earth to soar to the top of Mount Everest and the deep Marianna Trench. With the many science apps we can visit Mars and learn about how stars are formed. There is even an app that let's students dissect a frog and see videos showing frog metamorphosis. The tablet will also be used with our OSMO system for learning math and letters.

Help me give my students a more challenging and helpful learning tool that will help them soar to success! I am always grateful for your continued support.
