This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

The future Mathematicians, future Doctors, future Teachers, and more as we embark on the journey of mastering Algebra I. Yes Algebra I, the foundation of all students' Mathematical Careers.
My students work diligently, tirelessly, and effectively to become experts in the classroom, and good Samaritans to their communities.
They come from low-income households where they persevere through adversity. They come from recovering homes that were brutally impacted by Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Texas in 2017. They believe in the fact that education is the key to a brighter future. With their optimistic growth mindsets and determination, they are promised a great future.
My Project
In the classroom it is imperative that the teacher gets opportunities to check for understanding with their students. This will help the teacher determine the students' ability to solve certain problems. Our classroom will be interested in receiving Dry Erase White Boards (9 x 12), so that the teacher can assess all students' work in a short period of time, as it relates to particular key points in the lesson.
One, two, three SHARE YOUR ANSWER, the teacher will quickly scan the room analyzing the students' answer to predetermined question.
The teacher will quickly gather data, review concept if necessary, or congratulate the students for mastery. This will help the teacher and students maximize instructional time while being engaged.
Students will need large poster papers to conduct gallery walks in the classroom. This will allow students to get up from their seats to participate in a productive activity, while giving students the opportunity to showcase their work and/or understanding on certain topics.
Students need privacy when they are taking assessments. Our classroom is in need of Testing Dividers. We now have a classroom with tables seating 5+ students. This will ensure that students are not distracted during assessments and allows them to focus/ground themselves in the task at hand.
