Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students love learning and trying new things. They come from low income backgrounds and have been identified as at-risk. 98% of them received free lunch and are labeled as ELL (English Language Learners). The students show up every day ready to learn. They are excited about learning new things and will benefit and grow from having the materials they need.
I want the students to come to a classroom that has what they need to learn.
My students deserve a classroom where the focus is on learning and not on what we do not have.
My Project
This project will help my second grade students be able to take learning into their own hands by showing their work, teaching their peers, and being able to see new lessons step by step. This document camera will help demonstrate concepts leaned in class, and allow students to take more control in their own learning process by illustrating and explaining their work, being able to revise peer work, and make learning more fun! This is interactive and more engaging for students, which is so important in the classroom. Our class would appreciate your help and donation so much! Thank you, thank you!
