My students need many different types of genre to be well rounded readers. Focusing mainly on nonfiction bundles will give each student a chance to learn about the world around they will inherit.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students need books for our classroom library to help them learn to read as well as become life long readers. We are also needing things for our classroom to run smoothly everyday.
My Students
My secondgrade students attend an inner city charter school. Our school is small and is a family. Our school has most a Somali population and some of our students have only been in the country for 1-2 years.
They all range in abilities, but always work hard to meet their goals!
When they come to school they want to learn everything they can and experience new things. Our goal is to help all of our learners and provide them with the best future!
My Project
My students need books to read and they don't have them at home. The books chosen are nonfiction ones that they will like and have expressed interest in. Some of the books that are in a series we have other ones and they enjoy them.
"You can't start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one." Many students don't have access to nonfiction and it is a great asset for all readers.
The storage bins will help organize the books through out the classroom and make choosing the perfect book enjoyable and make reading fun
