My Students

My students are wonderful children that need to have every opportunity to strive academically. Our school has students that are Hispanic, Native American, Caucasian, and African American. Our school has a multi-disability room as well as serving children with special needs

Ninety nine percent of my students come from bilingual families.

As a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district, I see that my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

This is a Title I school and 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Success in reading begins early.

It is through a partnership between the teacher, students, and the parents that each student obtains success.

My Project

Our classroom is in need of a new rug that has calming colors yet aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Our classroom is our home. It is so important to have a space that the children feel safe and comfortable.

Our current rug is old, ratty and news to be replaced!

Please help me give my students a new beautiful rug to add to our classroom. We sit at the rug for whole group and when we are doing centers as well as for reading stories during story time. They need to have a rug that is nice and new instead of old and falling apart.
