Help me give my students time to rest and unwind by having comfortable rest time mats and blankets.

I am honored to be the teacher of some of the greatest student in Baltimore. My students need materials and resources that align with our new Tools of the Mind curriculum. They need to be prepared for Kindergarten, but many of my students have limited exposure to age-appropriate educational content material.
I want to provide my students with every opportunity to be eager and successful young learners while in my class.
Many of my students reside in an inner city urban environment. They are at risk and come from low income households. Giving them all the tools and materials they need will foster not only their academic and social growth but will put them on a positive track for future academic success.
My students are young four year old learners who require learning breaks throughout the school day; sometimes even before their morning academic learning has begun or is complete. Their play based curriculum engages them cognitively, physically, socially and emotionally. After being engage in rigorous learning tasks and activities, my students are exhausted and tired. The students I teach come from low income neighborhoods and often are sleepy and tired when they walk through my classroom door in the morning. Having nap time mats and blankets available for them to rest will give them time they need to rest and be ready to be receptive to academic instruction.
Rest time is important for my students because it provides them with a break time to relax and de-stress from the rigor of instruction and class activities.
Providing nap time mats and blankets to the class will support students who are unable to have one on their own. The opportunity to rest by utilizing the nap time mats and blankets will support my students functioning to their fullest potential because they were provided with the materials from this project.
Rest time has shown to be very beneficial for my students. It increases their focus, attention, mindfulness, creativity and confidence. With the materials from this project, my students will be given the opportunity to be the best student they can while in school and my class.
