This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Winter is upon us, and it would be nice for my unique little snowflakes (students) to settle in and get some books to help us learn and grow with the help of our rich history.
We utilize our differences to help us all learn and grow daily.
All of my students come from diverse, low socioeconomic backgrounds. We will work on the reading, math, and social studies curriculum together utilizing whole/group instruction, centers, and independent activities to enrich and remediate our knowledge bases daily within the classroom.
My Project
These materials will be vital to my students. They will give my Hispanic students a renewed spirit of their culture as they research and create projects on famous men and women that have contributed to the United States. Not only will it directly impact my Hispanic students, but my Non-Hispanic students will learn about the culture of their classmates through this research and discovery process. Having a set of of biographies on Hispanic Americans will be an amazing resource to the almost 40% of students with Hispanic heritage in my classroom this school year. Seeing someone like you is important to helping children prosper and grow!
