My students come in every day eager to learn and grow! They come from diverse backgrounds and different walks of life, but they never let their challenges interfere with their education.
No matter their situations at home they know that our classroom is their sanctuary, and that they can truly be themselves there.
I am thankful for the opportunity to work with these incredibly hard-working young people every day and look forward to seeing what tremendous 21st century citizens they will become.
My Project
Your contributions to this project will allow my students to have a safe haven where they can come and escape their daily struggles through the characters and adventures of a great book! My students, as young readers, often need additional supports and encouragement to advance their reading skills, so the engagement appeal of the comfortable seating and spacious rug will draw them in.
By giving them a comfortable, safe space to explore stories and advance their reading skills, my students will become forever readers.
Changing the classroom setup with the use of the rugs and flexible seating is sometimes all it takes to give students an opportunity to spark their love of reading.
