My Students
My 2nd graders are fun, loving, and always excited! They love to think outside of the box and take an active role in their learning! They love trying new things and work best when given ownership over their learning. They love to switch things up by working with a variety of materials and methods.
My students have so much to offer the world and deserve the absolute best at school!
My students' safe space is school and our classroom needs to reflect that. We are a Title I school with 100% free and reduced lunch. Most of our families struggle to find employment and opportunity, especially after Hurricane Florence, so meeting basic needs at school is my top priority. I feel so lucky to be able to learn from both my students and their amazing families!
My Project
This project will make a huge difference in our classroom. My students will be motivated by the flexible seating options. The beanbags, comfy floor seats, and pillows will allow students to have exciting, new choices in our classroom! These seating options will increase time on task and stamina by providing a fun and comfortable space to read, write, and learn! The Clip & Create Builders will allow all students to create and experience success while encouraging collaboration and developing social skills.
My students need to feel safe, loved, and special.
These materials will give them to opportunity to take charge of their learning and teach them to make effective learning choices for themselves! Thank you for your help!
