Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These books will continue to enrich my students' reading at their ability level. My classroom library is a place where my students can find great books to foster their joy of reading. The books in my library are selected with my students in mind to help them grow, improve their literacy, and motivate them to continue to read. They are quick to tell me which books they love the most, and what they want to read. My students will be able to choose books to help them increase their reading levels. With a larger library, my students will have a variety of books to allow them to read at their ability level.

After more than a year of switching between in-person and remote learning, many of our students have shown they lack reading material at home.

While some students continued to lack access because they stayed remote. These books will help my students become stronger readers.

Students will be able to check out the books to take home. Allowing the students to borrow books will allow the student to improve their reading ability at home.
