My students are very artistic and love to create. Many of them struggle academically and need engaging activities to inspire them. Hands on materials are what helps most of them learn and become successful. Magazines and books,colorful illustrations, projects and relevant passages is what grabs their attention.
We try to work in groups for most of the school year.
My students learn cooperation, importance of following directions and how to build friendships and help others while working and learning as a group. At times students need independent activities and we need a variety to fit individual academic levels for reading and math.
My Project
These materials wil help my students learn by offering creative activities that allow them to improve their reading abilities. These materials can be used one on one, small group , whole class or independently. My students are artistic and creative and with the variety of activities I am hoping to recieve it will give students a chance to choose what works best for them.
Students will work on projects and improve their reading skills using materials that are grade and academic level appropriate.
I will use these materials to increase their performance in writing as well as in reading. This will give them the opportunity to expand their skills in both reading and writing.
