I am a Speech Language Pathologist working with Preschoolers between the ages of 3-5. Our school serves students who have special needs ranging from speech clarity issues to social difficulties and everything in between. Our district only has one Preschool, so we serve students from all over the city, making our enrollment very high.
My students are delighted to enter my speech room every day eager to see what new activities I have planned for them.
It is so fun to explore the world through their eyes because they find joy in the simplest things.

There are so many ways that these books will be used during speech therapy that will help address all of our students' deficit areas and goals.
The vivid pictures will bring to life the vocabulary that I am introducing. In addition to supporting language, these books will give us the opportunity to practice our pre-literacy skills such as book handling. Other target skills include rhyming, story retell, following directions, answering questions, and identifying main ideas.
