My Students

Do you remember walking into a class and being told what you have to read and and wanting to cry? My high school students are stuck in a reading class and want to read interesting texts and articles.

Many of my students are on lower reading levels, and many have never finished a book.

Many are not able to find high-interest​ materials: books, articles, and other texts. Therefore, don't read. My students want so much to have high interest and engaging materials in our classroom that would interest them. There is nothing like the feeling of accomplishment when you finish your first book or enjoying the learning of new knowledge.

My Project

Do you enjoy reading standard copied black and white articles? Does anyone, really? I sometimes think the black and white makes the students sleepy!

Wouldn't it be better to read high interest materials in vivid color?

Absolutely. Photos will now look like they were meant to, instead of gray-scale copied things that are hard to make out. With this color printer, students can read their texts in color. This will increase interest, and in turn increase participation.

Beyond articles, this would also allow printed awards and other papers for the students to be in full color. Your generous donation would be an amazing opportunity for my students.
