My Students
My students are vibrant individuals who love learning new things in a variety of ways. They are high-energy, hardworking, and eager-to-learn third graders, regardless of their socioeconomic status. Every day, they display an abundance of effort in everything that we do. Giving up is not an option to them.
As their teacher, I strive to give them the safest and most comfortable learning environment, and I want to offer them any opportunity I can to make them successful now and in the future.
My Project
You can never have too many books! This project will provide students with books that support strategic reading though small groups and conferring, as well as, allowing them choice during independent reading. These resources will help them develop a love of reading by learning about and getting lost in the world of a book and/or book series. By "filling our shelves", it will provide me, their teacher, with new and innovative ways to improve comprehension and literacy skills by exposing my students through a variety of genres. Thank you for helping me put these great titles in my students' hands!
