This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a low income area in Fresno, California. Every single student qualifies for free breakfast and lunch at our school. My students are excited to come to school and be a part of our room.

They get excited about learning with technology and love trying new things.

Very few if any have any kind of technology at home, so computer time is especially prized. In order to access student knowledge, I have to set high standards within the classroom, and make sure my students are loved.

My Project

In our room we use computers every single day, multiple times per day. Currently, the headphones we own are easy to break and they do not work very well. We also do not have enough to serve each student.

Getting a new set for each student will help my students with their technology knowledge, and with their auditory comfort.

My students sometimes get frustrated when there aren't enough headphones which is a definite lack in my classroom. I would like to have a set for each student in my room, and they would like it too!
