Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are all in special education, all with learning delays. They are amazing kids, all who work super hard to succeed and are incredibly proud when they do succeed. First grade, second grade, third grade, it doesn't matter, they all strive to do their very best!
One of the most amazing things about these kiddos is when one "gets it" they give out high-fives to that student.
They're just as proud as the one who "got it" and once one gets it, the learning becomes contagious!
My Project
My students struggle with reading and writing. While reading a book and writing sentences is exciting, how exciting is it to use letter stamps and stamp pads? Very exciting!
Kids of all ages love to use stamps and this is a perfect activity that will help build awareness in spelling, phonics, and letter recognition.
Students will be able to work independently to build words, while having fun doing it. With so many different activities available that utilize stamps and stamp pads, this will be a perfect way to build needed skills and have fun doing it. Learning should be fun and engaging!
