Our school is a Title I school with students from second to sixth grade. My students are from the inner city and are mostly English language learners. Our school is a pilot school. The school's philosophy focuses on leadership skills with an emphasis on critical thinking.
My students are hardworking, resourceful, and self-motivated young people who are eager to be lifelong learners.
The majority of the students who attend our school will be the first in their families to attend college.
My students are getting ready for literacy celebrations. We need vinyl for our ScanNCut machine so they can create T-shirt that promote scientific concepts. Students will promote renewable energy, reducing, recycling, and reusing. All these materials will be put to immediate use.
Art education connects students with their own culture as well as with the wider world.
We will creating classroom t-shirts with the vinyl. The t-shirts will be used throughout the year. We are also asking for adhesive vinyl for cutting book titles and art. The ScanNCut machine will help the students cut the vinyl. By helping us with this project you are helping my students become more creative.
