Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with many receiving free lunch. This is a Title I school where many students are receiving extra help with math and reading to try to get them close to where they should be for their grade.
These 8-9 year olds are very eager to learn but just don't always know how.
They are full of life and excitement! School is the place where they can go to feel safe during the day.
My Project
My students are in need of more activities that give them the chance to interact with each other! Not a lot of students play games with their families and they are missing out on some valuable and fun experiences.
Help us learn lessons from games such as how to win/lose and how to play with other students!
By learning these lessons now my students will be better off in the future. I want them to play in a safe environment that allows them to learn. We also are in need of a few more seating options so that everyone will be able to find a spot where they learn best!
