My Students

My students are excitable, well behaved and love to play the ukuleles in my music class!

The music program has been in place for quite a number of years but the focus has been primarily choral music so there are not many instrumental resources.

I come from a marching band background and am trying to continue the choral stuff but add some instrumental as well.

Our school is located in a middle income neighborhood. We have a student population of nine hundred and ninety-five with the number of free and reduced price lunch at thirty-five percent.

My Project

DonorsChoose.org has been very helpful to me and for that I am very grateful. I underestimated how many generous people there are out there and short changed my needs a bit. In order for the greatest number of students to receive maximum benefit I would like to humbly request help once again. We are about to be rezoned and our class sizes will increase. I would like to have at least one instrument for every two students. This will maximize instruction time and keep more students engaged. Thank you again to those who have supported me in the past and thank you in advance for any new support we might receive.
