Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My job is to provide physical education to over 250 students. They are determined and hard-working and each of them deserves the best quality education. They are always ready to develop new skills and take on any challenge that comes their way. Through exercises and sports, it is easy to tell that they are motivated and ready to learn different ways to stay active.
With your help, we can ensure that every student in our campus learns the necessary skills to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
Unfortunately, we are limited in the number of activities we can complete due to a lack of equipment. We teach our kids based on the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Physical Education. With proper equipment, our students will be able to learn and understand the importance of every standard we teach. Adding more equipment helps keep the students motivated to stay physical activity outside of school.
My Project
Students are always eager to come into PE class. Help me keep their motivation in my class alive! It is important we expand a student's knowledge of sports and activities. This equipment is found in many local parks and students will be able to look at this equipment and understand how to use it! It will give them the confidence to try something different outside of school. We can keep them motivated by showing them a wide variety of sports and games. Having more activities available for students allows them to develop better social and communication skills. Having adequate equipment will allow us to better teach them some of the Oklahoma Standards for PE.
