This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach at a low income Charter school. All of our students qualify for free/reduced lunch. We are only in our second year of existence, therefore we are still trying to get everything we need to be successful. My students come from all different surrounding towns to make up our school. Some ride the bus almost an hour to make it to school! My students are very eager learners, and are super excited to learn new things each day!! my students are very special to me, and I only want what’s best for them! I know the look on their faces, to find out that our project is funded would be amazing!

My Project

My students work very hard in the classroom daily, and are excited to go outside for recess when the time comes. They have a lot of fun playing, however I feel that these resources will allow them to maximize their recess experience. The resources in this kit will allow them the opportunity to play organized sports with each other, and to also encourage them to become more interactive among each other! It will also encourage teamwork among the students. My students will also learn responsibility skills, because they will be responsible for keeping up with the equipment and making sure it is placed in the proper location, to ensure that it kept safe! Your generous donation, will definitely put a huge smile on my student’s faces, after a successful day in the classroom!
