Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I now have the privilege to teach and inspire our youngest students! I teach 20 of the sweetest, hard-working PreKindergarten kids you'll ever met! I have 16 boys and 4 girls. They all have the sweetest smiles! We are a Title I school that prides itself on making sure that all students know they can succeed. The majority of our children are eligible to participate in the free lunch and breakfast program. My students are kindhearted and are determined to do their best every single day!
My Project
I am requesting a four person indoor/outdoor painting easel and two rolls of easel paper to develop and outdoor painting center. We are tired of being inside all day and want to take some of out learning outside! With this wonderful outdoor painting easel and easel paper we can do just that. Four students at time will be able to creatively express themselves and collaborate with the peers through art. This will promote diversity and multiculturalism as students from different classroom and cultures will have the opportunity to paint together and express their cultures. This painting easel will be a wonderful addition to outdoor learning center space!
